I put a link to this blog on an Alaska website for teachers and future educators alike.  I was feeling a little reluctant, but want to share with others how this part of Alaska looks through my eyes.  So if you are one of the folks led here by the website, I hope you enjoy it.

I have focused on food in many of the posts since we are stuck indoors quite often.  Stay tuned for things other than cooking and baking.  As I experience and uncover some of the island's idiosyncrasies, I may post them on here.
