Class beach trip

The best thing about having such a small class is the ability to take an unplanned field trip.  Simply explain the expectations to the kids, grab the van keys from the office, and the pile them into the vehicle.  We had went because of the swans.  Normally, the birds go to the reservoir, but with our unusually cold winter this year, they have been making their appearances in the unfrozen bays to everyones' delight.  Having an ocean out the back door always makes for super impromptu trips.  Perhaps, in a couple of weeks when we go over erosion, we'll pack into the van and take a look at the cliff sides.  Why not?

Reflecting over the week, it seemed to last a lot longer than normal.  We had parent teacher conferences yesterday and today, so that may have something to do with it.  Overall, the week was a success and happened without any speed bumps.  I even got out and played in the snow with the kids on Monday after the sky decided to dump on us again.  The great snow fort building snow was short lived, but our class sure enjoyed rolling around in the big drifts before it turned yucky in the following days.

I ended my day today by briefly browsing over some job applications.  I can't stress enough, before one turns in an application, go to the most blunt person you know and ask his or her opinion before sending them.   Elegance = simplicity.  Changing the font size or font style mid resume is a tad off putting.  I claim no superiority in the matter, just a point of view.  Happy weekend everyone.
