Last week was pretty busy. Our school hosted elementary students from the other five schools in our district so that they could use our pool. On the elementary end, we're lucky enough to have two combined grades in a nice four week swim rotation. For us, our community has access to swimming for elders each day, open swim each night, and even water aerobics.
In addition to the excitement of the visitors, there have been a few basketball games too. A couple teachers set up basketball practice with second to sixth grade kids with games on Fridays. The Friday game was followed by city league games that were put together by a high school teacher. The community turnout for both have been tremendous. It has been nice to see everyone coming together.
The weather has been sunny and windless all week. People have been in tee shirts enjoying the weather. If one was to see a picture, they'd think it was pretty balmy. I think it has been around 50 degrees. Still, when the wind stops it feels very warm and out come the shorts, and bare arms. Snow still covers the hills.
Below are some pictures from our beach trip yesterday.

| Pussy willows! Notice the black dot in the background, Nate was not as enthused about them as I was. It was a bit cooler here without the warmth of the breeze blocking cliffs. |
